Memorial Day. Oh was it one to remember.
I was sharpening a knife while preparing food for the week. It slipped and caught my index and thumb. Hubs was outside mowing, so I ran outside with a towel around my hand and busted into tears the second I saw him. Luckily, we have a hospital 2.5 seconds from our house, so the drive wasn't too long. Unfortunately, I blacked out in the car and ended up getting sick which stalled our arrival to the ER. Not like that mattered, we waited for over 2 hours to be seen. Never again will I be slicing my fingers open.
3 hours later, I walked away with 6 stitches, a bandaged hand, and a nice hospital bill. Lesson learned. Invest in a good sharpener. Please.
| Waiting in the ER room for the DR to stitch up my fingers. I saved y'all from having to see the actual slices, you're welcome. |
