Since we moved into the house, we have ignored the top of the cabinets in the kitchen, I was more concerned with getting things on a lower level finished rather than worry about that....until recently. Since the other projects in the house are complete, Shawn was such a sweet husband a few weeks ago and took my to Hobby Lobby without any complaining, he actually was so sweet and helpful!

I have been looking for a jewelry organizer for quite some time now and found so many amazing ideas on Pinterest but needed some space to hold my watch boxes, etc. I found this organizer at World Market and LOVED everything about it expect for the $200 price tag, not a big fan of that. So, the hubs and I hit Target to create our own. AND VOILA, good ole Target had exactly what we were looking for. I bought a jewelry mirror just like the top of the one from World Market for $40 and then 2 shelves just like the bottom of the World Market for $27/piece. Total- $94 which isn't much better than the World Market BUT it saved me $100!
I apologize for the crappy picture, i was trying to not get in the mirror and take the picture at the same time, and the lighting isn't the best, but you get the idea!

When we moved into our house a year ago, DR Horton planted 1 tree, bushes and some flowers in the flower bed which left alone for a while because we were more concerned with the inside. But eventually we decided we wanted to add a few of our own touches to the front of the house which started with some extra trees and flowers.
Started last summer with planting trees and putting stone around the flower bed our self
Well, after having the stone in the flower beds the way we put it down, we decided it would look MUCH better to have something done professionally. Which leads us to our house today, which I couldn't love more! I am so happy with the way it turned out!
The workers were at our house from 8am-4pm, they had to go 2 separate times for more material, I don't think they estimated the amount of stone and sand they were going to need to finished the flower beds and 3 trees.
The puppies wanted to help too!
The next couple of things aren't projects just some things we have been up to recently.
Celebrated my sweet Genny's birthday on Friday!
Went to a family member's wedding on Saturday night
We found this 53 inch GIANT teddy for $30 from Costco and we knew we HAD to get it for our fur babies.
To say they love it is an under statement!!
